Getting here

The road goes quiet.

  1. From Sandpoint, take US-95 North about 20 minutes.
  2. From Bonners Ferry, take US-95 South about 15 minutes.
  3. Watch for Elmira — the valley narrows and the pines close in.
  4. The last stretch is a well-kept gravel drive — sedans included.

Sandpoint

~20 minutes south. Hotels, inns, restaurants, and Lake Pend Oreille for the day after.

Bonners Ferry

~15 minutes north. Small-town motels and the Kootenai River valley.

Airbnb and VRBO cabins dot the woods between the two towns — book early for summer.

Flying in

Spokane International (GEG) is about 1h 45m. The drive up is its own scenery.
